What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a primary health-care profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that arise as a result of problems with joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons and nerves of the body, particularly those of the spine.

Treatment consists of a wide range of manipulative techniques designed to improve the function of the joints, relieving pain and muscle spasm in conjunction with massage, soft tissue work. The use of exercises to improve the function of the injured tissue is paramount to chiropractic treatment.

Chiropractic does not involve the use of any drugs or surgery.

Maintenance Care – The need to be pro-active to stay healthy.

It would appear too obvious to state that the lack of servicing a car would increase the likelihood of it breaking down. Similarly, it is accepted how beneficial regular dental treatment is to the health, and longevity of one's teeth. However, the importance of maintenance care in relation to the musculoskeletal system of one's body is not viewed with the same gravitas.

Depending on the condition, and its chronicity, our chiropractors will discuss the benefit, or necessity of maintenance care.
