Chiropractic for Sports

It is often believed that if one has a sporting injury one should seek out a physiotherapist, not a chiropractor.

The first rehabilitation gym was opened by a chiropractor. Core strength exercises have been advocated by chiropractors for more than 40 years.

The head of many internationally known sports clubs are chiropractors, not physiotherapists. Football clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, A.C. Milan and Barcelona, to name only four, have all had chiropractors heading the fitness, rehabilitation, training and wellness of their respective playing squads.

Chiropractic works for patients of all ages

"I've been going to a chiropractor for as long as I can remember.
It's as important to my training as practising my swing"

The injuries have ranged from minor ankle sprain strains, to pulled hamstrings, to sprained knees and wrists, to severe neck, back and shoulder pain.

Jason Day.

After getting a serious back spasm at the end of his first round at Augusta 2019, Jason Day went to his chiropractor who helped him through the tournament. Below is a clip from the press.

It was two minutes before his tee time on Thursday afternoon when he knelt down on the practice green, hoping to plant a kiss on his daughter's cheek, when Jason Day nearly saw his ninth trip to the Masters die before it ever started.

That's when the pain arrived, and when he started worrying how in the world he was going to make it through this tournament.

"If this stays the same," Day confessed to his caddie early in the round, "I'll probably end up withdrawing."

A half hour later, he was lying on his back, hiding beneath the Georgia pines next to the second tee box, getting stretched out by his chiropractor. Twenty minutes after that, he was doing the same on the fourth. Day lumbered up and down Augusta National's rolling fairways for the next four hours, grimacing like a 65-year-old man each time he bent over to dig his tee into the grass or swipe his ball from the cup. For stretches, it was clear: This man was in agony.

Due to the treatment received from his chiropractor Day finished the first round on the Thursday, made the cut on Saturday and with the further assistance of his chiropractor ended the Masters 2019 tied for 5th.

If chiropractic treatment can help Jason Day battle through 4 days of intensive golf, imagine how it could help you to deal with the stresses of your day.
